2,266 Families served for Thanksgiving

The Sevier County Food Ministries gave out Thanksgiving themed grocery bags the week of November 12 -16.  The bags were complete with common Thanksgiving meal items, such as boxed stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a voucher for meat that families could use to buy ham or turkey from Food City.  We were able to serve 2,266 families for Thanksgiving!  We are so incredibly thankful for all the donations that were received to make it possible for us to assist families in need to be able to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal this year.

Thank you to everyone – the organizations, businesses, and individuals – who continue to make this possible. Some of the help we received specifically for Thanksgiving was through donations and volunteer time from the Sevier County School System, Ripley’s, Wyndham, Pleasant Hill United Methodist, and so many more!

(We apologize if we missed any organizations.  Please email or give us a call if you would like to be added!)
